What Banking Services Are Available?

While physical locations will close, the good news is that you will have few options if you need banking services on Thanksgiving Day. Although no one will be on-site, ATMs and online banking will still be available. Therefore, you can still make a deposit or withdrawal, check balances, or transfer money between accounts. Unfortunately, the bank won’t be able to process transactions until the next business day. So, you will need to wait to handle other services or complex transactions that require a banker.

One thing to note is that you may be able to speak with customer service. If they have international call centers in countries that don’t observe the holiday, chances are their staff will be on call to deal with any questions or concerns you have.

Although banks close to observe Thanksgiving, the good news is that most institutions will return to regular hours of operation the following day. So, you won’t have to wait long to take care of your business.
